Hair color change

Sweater & Necklace: F21
Jeans: Old
 Shoes: DSW
 Bag: Gift (Liebeskind)

I did it you guys, I finally decided to go ahead and have my hair colored. With the cooler weather already here I thought it was a good time to go darker. I pretty much told my friend to do whatever she thought might go well with my skin tone. It did take a couple of days to get used to it, but now I do like it. I also lost a couple of inches of my hair (insert sad face). I always have a hard time getting my hair cut. The layers are a bit shorter than I would like them to be, but I keep telling myself it will grow back. Quick I hope.

Hope all of you had a fabulous weekend

  1. Wow, the new cut and color looks gorgeous!! And I like how comfy/chic you look in that top.

  2. @Mary Ann - Thank you :) The top is definitely comfy and it's one of my favs.

  3. I'm so jealous you pull off both light and dark hair SO WELL. Seriously. Love the new 'do too!

  4. Your hair looks amazing! Love the new color. You look great as a blonde or a brunette- not many people can pull that off:)

  5. i LOVE the new hair color lilly, you are gorgeous! and i love that outfit!

  6. This haircut is a great length on you! I like this color, so perfect for Fall. I want that sweater, I'm gonna hunt for it at F21 :) I have older jeans with boot cuts somewhere around my house, too... so glad those are back in style!

  7. @Cee, Schnelle Couture, Meg - thank you girls. Oh trust me, I had some dark colors on my head before that made me look ridiculous. I think it's all about the right shade, cool/warm tones (I've been learning it the hard way in the past lol).

@Sarah S. - Thank you :) I too love that wide leg pants are back in style. I guess it's always a good thing to keep some clothing items around as they eventually will be back in style :)

  8. Love the hair color! I was thinking the same thing to go dark before fall. I think the layers look great the length they are, but change is always hard.

    Outfit looks great!

  9. Your hair is absolutely gorgeous Lilly! The color, cut (even the layers you think are too short) & waves. Is your hair naturally wavy like that? I'm sooo jealous!

How did your stylist help you choose between warm/cool tones? I've never understood it very well.

  19. Gorgeous pictures!! I just love your hair so much!

  20. Looks great! Love the dark color... :)

  21. You look gorgeous! I love the rich and perfect for fall!

  22. wow-za! i *knew* you'd look fab either way (darker or lighter). :)

  23. Ladies, thank you :)

@anon - usually the warm/cold hair color tone is determined by ones skin tone.
If your skin tone is golden, olive or dark and you tan easily than you would be warm tone. Another way to determine this if the veins in your inner wrists are green.

Cool tone - usually those who have fair skin or burn before you tan and the veins in your wrists are blue.

Since at times I burn before I tan I was able to determine my tone better by the color of my veins. Hope this helps :)
