The drive home yesterday was quite lovely - wet snow! I'm not the biggest snow fan, or a fan at all, but I do love watching the beautiful snowflakes fall (preferably from the inside).  Snowflakes make me smile. Wet snow that makes the roads icy - nothing to smile about. Woke up to almost 8 inches of snow!

Let's go back to smiling....

I believe I posted this picture earlier this year.  Snowflakes on my car window (taken with iPhone camera).
Even if you don't like winter you have to admit these are beautiful!

Thank you for reading!

The long weekend is coming to an end. I didn't accomplish something I was hoping I would. My problem is when I set my mind on something I want it done now. Instead, I need to learn patience.
I wanted to change up a few things in our half bathroom (thanks to pinterest) but I didn't find certain items I needed. So I'll just have to be patient and wait.

Hope you had a great weekend!

p.s. Last chance to enter the giveaway, there will be two winners and there are four different ways to enter.

Belt had to come off after having Caramel Brulee Latte.

Purple all over

Sweater: Banana Republic (similar at Gap and here) (at Target,)
Button up: J.Crew (buy here, similar here)
Pants: Loft (great options here and here)
Shoes: Sole Society - no longer available
Bag: c/o Handbag Haven  (nice option here)

I must have been craving purple today and wore the all purple items I own. Might as well, right? Right!
I've been eyeing this button up, well pink one really. It went on sale and the pink one sold out in my size. Purple eventually was marked down and when I received an email from J.Crew with subject line: "take an additional 30% off sales items" I knew this shirt had to be mine. Love me some J.Crew sales!

Have a fantastic Friday!

My Chanel-esque flats, I found more of them

Hello ladies! Hope you're having a great Thursday!

Remember these awesome flats? I've received so many emails/comments from many of you asking about my two tone Chanel-esque flats. I originally bought them at Marshalls and they are my most comfortable flats, no lie. I've been wearing them a lot and they have received so many compliments from strangers.
I've been searching everywhere for them, I NEED another pair before mine fall apart. Even when I found them "this item is no longer available" is what I kept seeing. Slightly frustrating.

Today I had to try again. And I found them (insert happy dance). I was going to order two pairs but they only had one pair left in my size. My current ones are size 9 so I ordered the same size.  I'm between 8.5 and 9, depends who makes the shoes (but mostly 8.5)

So of course I HAD to share this great news with you all. Here is the link and as of right now they have most of the sizes in stock. Best part, they are only $20.

I'm so stinkin' excited, I can't even explain it. ;-D

Now go get yourself a pair!

OOTD: Mustard skirt with pockets

Cardi: Loft  (2010) (similar here, here and here)
Button up: H&M (similar here and here)
Skirt: F21 (recent) (similar here)
Boots: Gift from overseas  (similar here and here and love these)
Necklace: Macy's
Bracelet: The Limited

Boots vs. shoes, not sure which one wins. It snowed a bit last week and it's been nice and sunny over the weekend...I'm not sure how to dress anymore.  Having a  just-case-it snows-or rains-or it's-sunny-wardrobe in my car might be something I should consider.
Oh, a side point...this skirt has pockets = love.

Pink blazer and the giveaway winner

Blazer: Charlotte Russe (similar here)
Sweater: Target (buy here)
Jeans: Gap (similar here, here and here)
Necklace: F21
Bracelets: H&M

I bought this blazer back in September, a couple of days before my shopping ban. It has been sitting in my closet with the tag on up until last week. I was going to return it but actually forgot about it. Glad I did as I really like it - the color is a nice pink and the length is perfect.

the Chloe Rose Designs giveaway winner is

Congrats Keri! Email me your info :)

p.s. I have another giveaway coming up, so stay tuned.

Let it snow...or not!

I know how much you "love" my work-bathroom-mirror pictures (insert sarcasm). I need to find  a spot in the house to take normal pictures since it's dark out early now (and cold, it snowed today).
Forgot to take a picture with the jacket on earlier today, so I did it in my work-in-progress-girly-room.
Faux Lather Jacket: Macy's (early 2011) (same one here, similar option here)
Cowl neck Sweater: H&M (similar herehere and here or here)
Jeans: AE (buy here)
Boots: Sam Edelman (buy here)

And as always, thank you for reading :)

OOTD: Blue skinny pants

Trench: Banana Republic
Blazer: Lauren Conrad via Kohl's
Tank, Scarf and Bracelets: H&M
Pants: Marshalls
Belt: Gap
Shoes: Younkers (Victor Alfaro)
Necklace: The Limited
Bag: Gift (Liebeskind)

My wait paid off...I found a pair of blue skinny pants! They stretched out a bit so I should have bought a size smaller (they were $17, can't complain too much). I need to shrink them or add some meat muscle to my legs.  (FYI - Target has blue and red skinny pants right now for those who are looking for a pair. I believe they're $23).

On a different note, I'm sad to inform you but you might be seeing less outdoor outfit pictures (I know you love this kind of pictures :)  It's all thanks to daylight savings time ending. It's dark by the time I get home.
But I'm not complaining about the 'extra' hour of sleep!

Would you wear blue pants?

Thank you for reading!

H&M crossbody bag double

Hello lovely people! Hope you're having a great Tuesday so far!

Some of you asked me where I got my crossbody bag you noticed in my previous post. It's from H&M and I bought it end of August when we went to Chicago! But don't be sad...I've found one that looks oh-so-very-similar to mine at Nordstrom, only a couple of $ more than what I paid at H&M.
I'm also LOVING it in navy color!

Pretty great deal if you ask me!

H&M fitting room

Few things I picked up from H&M

Bought the sweater but not the hat.

It was a toss up between this gray sweater and the one below. Hubby liked the other one better so this gray one didn't come home with me.

Lil' blurry. I had a belt under the sweater therefore slight bulkiness.  This one was actually free...H&M had a 'buy one get one free' on select sweaters.

and this is what I wore...gray on gray (with black cropped coat and leopard scarf)...and of course the boots...oh AND I also bought the pleated skirt you see in the mirror behind me...forgot to take a picture.  Skirt was only $13, can't believe the cheap price.

Necklace from The Limited (recent, 40% off sale items).

Did you buy anything this weekend?

Have a lovely day!

P.S. Don't forget to enter the Giveaway

Weekend wear - Leggings

Shirt: Old Navy (similar here, here and here)
Cardi: Macy's (old) (great option here)
Leggings: Marshalls  (nice option here)
Boots: Sam Edelman  "Pierce" - no longer avilable (similar style here)
Scarf: H&M (old) (love this one)

I love these leggings, they're so thick, perfect for the cool weather we've been having. I picked up two pairs at Marshalls, these are slightly thicker than the other ones. Hope you don't get sick of seeing outfit post with leggings and these boots, there will be a few of those :)

Hope you have a great weekend!
