I gave in...

I'm STILL waiting on my J.Crew Pencil Skirt No. 2 in Viridian Green, which I ordered mid December. It was waitlisted and was supposed to ship 12/26. Then it changed to 2/18. And now it just shows as waitlisted!!! Frustrated is the word I'll use this time. I hate waiting for anything I order.  But I love getting packages in the mail. lol Let's just hope I get it someday.

So in the mean time I've been eyeing a few things and finally gave in.  Here is what I got:
*you can click on each picture for info on the item*

I didn't think I was going to like this top very much, but it turns out I LOVE it! It looks SO much better on than on the picture or hanger.

The color of this skirt is absolutely beautiful! The picture doesn't do it justice.

I'm in love with this color, very flattering.  It actually looks so good paired with the skirt above.

I actually bought this belt early January I believe, first in Small which seemed a bit big, then I exchanged it for XS. Still didn't fit the way I wanted it to fit, wish it was an inch longer. But I loved it so much I decided to keep it. Then I yesterday I saw it in Butterscotch and liked it more than the English Saddle (which is also a beautiful color, both are). I ended up returning the one I originally bought and got Butterscotch in Small. Very pretty.

Have you bought anything this weekend?  Or have you been eyeing certain items?

  1. I bought the tee as well, and had a hard time deciding between the pink and the green version, but went with pink. I just don't have enough of the ultra feminine color in my closet! ;) Can't wait to see the skirt on you!

  8. You can't go wrong with a No. 2 pencil skirt from J. Crew. I have the viridian green skirt, its a great thicker wool one for the cooler months. Have you seen or tried the cotton one in warm jade? It's BEAUTIFUL, the color would look great on you!

I JUST found your blog, and devoured the entire thing in a day...yup, every single entry! You've inspired me to take more fashion risks, and the timing couldn't have been better. I'm going back to work after maternity leave and (fortunately) have lost a bunch of weight, which means I need new work apparel! I went out yesterday and loaded up on pieces that I never would have looked twice at normally. Best find was a beautiful jewel-toned purple chiffon pleated skirt from the Gap for only $25. I cannot wait to wear it! Keep the great fashion ideas coming; I love them!

I love that colorblock tee! I recently went shopping and found a gorgeous New York & Company cardigan and also found a tank to match underneath. I already had a good waist belt to throw it together. AND to top it all off, I found a pair of Calvin Klein Trouser Pants at my local Goodwill!

  17. Love reading what you ladies got, and the great deals you found.

@Bre - I did talk with them, they don't know when the skirt will be available again in my size. I see it's on sale online but not in my size. Boo
