September ’12 – Must Reads

Another month gone by way to fast. I must be getting old!?!  I’m cool with it though, since I love Fall (here I go again with Fall).  But let me tell you, the weather has been great so far. We’ve been having a perfect Fall.

Question of the month: What bath products are you currently using?

Hair products change pretty much monthly for me. This is what I’m currently using. My shower is packed with different products, sadly. I’m always trying to find the next best thing.

Ouidad Frizz Fighting Trio – Not sure if these are what my hair has been needing lately but it does make my hair soft. I’ve been trying to find some REALLY great hair products (between highlights and constant heat on my hair I haven’t found anything that works wonders. Not sure if that even exits. I’ve tried Macadamia Deep Repair mask, and oil, and I think it makes my hair blah. I’ll give it another try since I have about half of the jar left). I’ve heard great things about Kerastase hair products so I might have to splurge and give them a try. Worth it or not?

Josie Maran Argan Oil – I’ve been using this one on my split ends (and elbows if they get dry).

Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing gel – I’ve only been using this cleanser for a couple of weeks now but so far I’m in LOVE with it. It’s very gentle on the skin. This one will be staying around for a long time.

I LOVE Nivea products. I’ve used them for a long, long time. We go way back 😉  The body lotion smells so clean and fresh. Each time I try something new, I end up going back to Nivea.

What are some of your favorite bath products?

Thanks for reading!

Ouidad has been my recent discovery and I love it! Another killer product is the Moroccan Oil – it is AMAZING! it smells delish, feels great and leaves a nice shine. Now with the cooler weather approaching my skin stays hydrated with Body Shop Body Butter – a oldie but goldie ;))) Love your blog 🙂

I just adore the Josie argan oil. I use it on my hair's ends, but I also love using it on my skin. It's truly a must have product!

I've started using organic grapeseed oil blended with tea tree oil as a facial cleanser/moisturizer/makeup remover! For a total of about $10 (depending on how much the tea tree oil is–even though you use VERY little), you have a 6-month supply with an 8oz. bottle of grapeseed oil! It smells lovely with the tea tree oil, has cleared up my periodic acne breakouts, and I no longer have to use a moisturizer under my primer (just SPF, of course!). I even did a blog post about it, why it's great for your skin, and details on my nutrition site, since it's related to food in a way. 🙂

I just recently purchased "It's A 10" from Beauty Brands. It's a leave in spray that you apply on damp hair, it works EXTREMELY well! My daughter has very dry, course hair and it has done wonders on her hair too after only using it for 3 days now. Best part about getting it from Beauty Brands is that they have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, so if you don't like it you can return it. As for my face, I've tried EVERYTHING imaginable and was never 100% satisfied. I have very oily skin and large pores. I started using the facial products from ItWorks and now everyone is asking me if I've changed my makeup because my skin looks so flawless! My pores are shrinking and I'm not having to blot my face throughout the day. I actually became a distributor because so many people were asking where they could purchase the products. You can get yours from ClearLakeWrapChick.com and discover the magic for yourself. I use the cleanser, toner and moisturizer and they are much cheaper than the department stores!

I love AG shampoo and conditioner, tech two shampoo and conditioner light or conditioner deep for serious help! Works wonders on dry damaged hair, it has a good balance between moisture and protein! Both things your hair needs! Kind of a splurge, but totally worth it!
