latest from the fitting rooms

Do any of you take pictures of the clothing, or shoes, you try on at the stores? I do. Most of the time. It gives me a better idea how something looks on. Pictures don't lie. Or do they?

First stop: J.Crew - 25% off select Spring style

Linen tee - "love conquers all"
I tried on size Small for a loose fit.

Love the little details. The sweater is more of boxy style - I'm wearing a xxs, so these are
definitely on the loose side.  Now 25% off w/code BRINGSPRING

This skirt makes me want to take a warm climate vacation. So cute!

Loft Blouse  (also gorgeous in Candy Coral - online exclusive)
Blouses are one of those timeless pieces and they instantly polish any look.
And how gorgeous is this printed blouse?!  I didn't see it at the store…otherwise...

Sheer floral crochet top  - 40% off w/code BEMINE  (a nude cami looks better with it). The small, dainty flowers made me think of Spring (which needs to hurry btw).
Also love this lace top

In love with this dress!  The light stripes are a very light blue. They didn't have my size, so I tried the next size up (which actually seemed very loose on…even though the picture doesn't show just how loose).  It appears a lot shorter on the model online than in person (I'm 5'6" for reference)

And in case you missed this look from Instagram. Totally in love with these shoes. I was
worried about sizing but they fit perfectly.  I wear 8.5 and ordered size 39.
Sweater: F21 (similar ) // Skirt: H&M (here and here) // Shoes: Reiss (similar) // Necklace (similar

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I loved that dress from the second I saw it on the website. A lot of the reviews said to size down. The only issue is I have no occasion to wear it for. I think the stripes make it too casual for weddings and it's not very "me" to just wear it on a random day..

  2. So cute! Love that "love conquers all" shirt and that last outfit!!

  8. ahh, you are so tiny, Lilly! I'm a wee bit jealous:) Anyway, I love that blouse and the striped dress from Loft! Also, I am going to give myself a nice swift kick in the ass for not getting that J.Crew necklace when I had the chance. I really like this little peak at your shopping trip. Fabulous post.
    Happy weekend, my friend!
    XO, Gina

  9. I love that first shirt and I LOVE that striped dress!!

  10. Eek! I love so many items on this post. ATL blouse and J.Crew skirt. I need to go shopping!

  11. I always do this because if I'm not sold at the moment, I will go home and look at the pics again. If I can't sleep because of it, I'll go back and buy it. If I can, then I delete it and never think of the item again. I love your picks.

  12. I adore that blush LOFT blouse as well as the dress! I do take pics too, I usually send them to my sister to give me a yay/nay if I'm shopping alone :-)

So many great items! :-) xx

  14. Oh I totally depend on dressing room photos for choosing which size/color I want - and you're right, pics don't lie. I think an item looks cute, take a pic and see all the flaws - such a big help!

You look amazing in pale pink BTW :-)

  15. That last picture with the fuller skirt and blush/peach top is one of my absolute favorites Lilly! If I come across a similar sweater, I'm totally recreating this look :)

Love the blue and white skirt too. Perfect for Summer!
