Coat /// Sweater old - similar here and here // Jeans old - similar // Boots // Bag // Scarf old - similar //

Hope all of you had a great weekend!

I must admit that I'm trying to be better about reading 'Item Description' when I purchase something online (which nowadays I shop mostly online).  Anyone else has that problem?

Anyway, I decided to purchase a bright pair of Hunters.  I know, I know...too much money for rubber boots. A few years ago I said that I'll never buy them because they're overpriced. Once again, I proved myself wrong. Now that I'm older (and wiser lol), I try to save up and buy quality pieces and ones that I'll be happy with (and yes, more $$ doesn't always equal quality, but we learn what quality really is and buy smarter).

Back to the story I really wanted to tell you....I didn't know they had more than one "style" of Original Hunters.  These are "Original Tour".  They're softer rubber, I find them more comfortable and for those who have skinner legs these fit better.  See, need to learn to read item description.

What do you think, are Hunters worth the price or are they just a rip off. Don't be shy to share your opinion.

Wishing you a great Monday!

  7. I love hunters on others! They are so practical! For me they wouldn't be because of where I live, but I do like them! The color is great fun too.

    1. I know what you mean (wish I had your weather haha). I've been trying to wear mine more often...to justify buying two pairs :)

  8. I'm still scared to pull the trigger on the tall Hunters (wider calves), but I do have a pair of the wellies flats by Hunters (a freak sale I scored big time) and swear by them. They look like red rubber loafers, so comfy and so fun, perfect for work!

    1. I wonder if they make them in wide calves? Nothing like scoring a great deal on something that's comfy and cute :)

  9. I'm always nervous to order online so I always read the description and every single review and I measure myself and other clothes I own to know how the measurements of the item I order will fit. lol. Your Hunter boots are so cute! I love the color!

    1. Impressive! That's what I should do more often. With stores that offer free shipping I take a chance but with ones that have more complicated return policy I try to be a bit more careful :)

  10. Love LOVE that scarf! I'm not a bright color person but this shade is so pretty. As far as Hunters...I have black ones. I totally think they are worth it. Classic, timeless... totally worth it. And they make rainy days so much less frustrating style wise. I do shop mostly online too and I'm really into reading reviews and fabric descriptions. LOL!
    Love this look, Lilly!

    1. I didn't realize how long ago they started making Hunters. All these years and they're still so popular. I guess it's worth the investment.
Haha, I got the reviews down (even though sometimes they're more confusing than helpful lol). Now I just got to work on reading item description haha

  11. I think they definitely worth they are money. I bought a pair myself a few years ago from Outnet.com 50% off, always check it for great deals but unfortunately they didn't fit me properly and sold them to a friend.

    Have a lovely weekend!!!

  12. For years I wanted a pair of Hunters because I saw just about every blogger rocking them each winter...but I've never pulled the trigger and purchased because I'd only get to wear them once or twice a year here in NorCal. If I lived in an area that rained/snowed more throughout the year I'd purchase in a second...I figure the cost per wear would definitely be worth the initial cost!

    1. Yes they seem to be popular :) They are definitely more worth it if you get to wear them quite a bit...it justifies the cost.

  16. I love hunters but once the snow is on the ground, I definitely need something warmer otherwise my toes get cold! Even though I have the Hunter fleece liners, they're still not as warm as I need them to be - but they're perfect for fall & early spring! Love the color you picked - they're so fab :-)

    1. I wondered if the fleece liners work well. I've been wanting to buy a pair. I wore them once with regular socks and my feet froze. So I learned my lesson and started wearing warm/thick socks and it worked fine (at least for the time I was outside in the snow, which wasn't overly long :) But yes, they definitely work a lot better/are warmer for Spring and Fall.

  19. I was very hesitant to buy hunter boots as well. Once i took the plunge it was the best decision ever! I traveled to Ireland this past summer with my boots and it was the best thing ever. I believe it is better to invest in key quality pieces than buying things seasonally! Love the look.

  20. I love the way Hunters look on everyone I see wearing them. I have a black shiny pair and I've only worn them ONCE! I feel awkward because of how stiff? (I'm not sure that's the correct description) they feel. Maybe I got the wrong size. Once winter is over here (May) I'll break them out and give them another shot. Love yours!

    1. I have the black Gloss Hunters too and I agree, they're stiff (and they make funny noise when I walk lol). But I still love them :) These bright coral one, which are the Hunter Tour, are a lot softer. I personally like them a lot better than the Original Hunters.
