Clip-in extensions and a weekend ready outfit

I mentioned these clip-in extensions briefly not too long ago, but thought I’d tell you my true thoughts on them now that I’ve had them for a while. 

The color I originally picked was Silky Golden Blonde in Royal Remy (after watching this helpful video) 22″ which comes with 10 pieces (and that was before I decided, last minute, to get a healthy trim and go a bit darker 🙂

The plan was to put some lowlights in anyway (you can color them darker but not lighter).

Since my recent color change they had to be just a bit darker that originally planned (I still have some highlights). My stylist did an amazing job matching the color to my current one. And I just ended up trimming them myself a bit since my hair is now a bit shorter too. 

I only had a total of 4 clip-ins colored darker and kept the rest for when I go back to my lighter color (which always happens). 

In these pictures I’m wearing total of four pieces –  one clip-in on each side just above my ears (with 2 clips) and on the back I’m wearing two clip-in extensions with 3 clips (hope this makes sense 😉

One of the clip-in extensions comes with four clips and it’s double the thickness of others.  I kept that one for when I go back to having a lighter hair color. It’s my favorite as it alone can add a nice amount of volume and length. So in the near future I’ll do an update and show those to you as well. 

I’m actually very happy with the quality of these hair extensions (real hair), especially the clips…compared to my old ones these hold/stay in place so much better. And they look very natural! 

I don’t wear these on a daily basis, but sometimes I just want more volume (and a little length ;). 

I do love wearing these when I braid my hair (usually just one or two pieces in the back) mainly to help keep my hair in place and it makes the braid last the entire day. They just look fabulous in my option.
