Nordy Anniversary Sale Purchases

Hope your week has started out well.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going…which could be a good and a bad thing.
I actually did pretty good I think, I didn’t go crazy. I got some things I really wanted but talked myself out of others mainly because I had similar pieces.

I did miss out on some pieces I really wanted but the only one I’m really bummed about is this jacket. My size sold out the same day the sale started. By the evening it was gone. Few days later they had almost all sizes “in stock” so I quickly ordered it….just to receive an email in the evening that the order cannot be fulfilled!!

I’m still checking the website multiple times a day as they randomly restock things (perhaps they’re returns) but no luck yet.

I already shared some pieces I purchased in this post, like these boots which I LOVE and you can read here why I picked these instead of the other ones that are similar style.

Some other items I ordered and my thoughts on it:

Ordered these Saltwater Duck Boots knowing that I will get good use out of these during our lovely Michigan Winters. I liked all three colors but decided to go with black. I think they look more chic (if Duck boots can look chic haha). I actually saw a lady last year with black ones and thought they look sharp, especially with a all black outfit. I’ll throw some gray in there 😉

Another thing I kept debating about since the sale started is this curling iron.  It’s slightly on the pricer side.
Over the last year I’ve purchased SO many curling irons, few drugstore ones and also have two Hot Tools curling irons and I can’t say that I’m completely happy with them. I used to have a Conair one years and years ago which was amazing! After a number of years it quit working and I haven’t found the exact one since.  I’m really hoping this one will be amazing and that I’ll be able to see the difference.
Will keep you posted, hopefully it will arrive soon.

I decided to order these suede over the knee boots. They’re such a good dupe of the Stuart Weitzman Lowland, the best dupe I’ve come across yet.
The suggested sizing online said they ran big and to size down 1/2 size. Even though I rarely size down in shoes, I decided to sized down 1/2 size.  Mistake! And they’re small. I should’ve known better.
But other than the size issue, they fit amazing around the leg and they seem to stay up.
They are sold out, but if you want them, keep checking the site.

Also got this top ruffle hem top. It’s on the loose side (got XS) but I really like it.

Another pair of shoes… Booties
These were among the first things I ordered. They’re really nice and I love how the leather changes color with creasing. Unfortunately, they ran small. I ordered my actual size and I should have sized up (which is a lot of times the case for me with Steve Madden shoes).  They seem comfy and I love the look of them. Sadly, sizing up is not currently an option since most sizes are sold out.

There were other cute booties, but mostly in suede which I have plenty of. I wanted a pair I can wear in rain. But I’m sure there will be plenty options to pick from this Fall. These suede booties are still my favorite because they’re SO comfortable (I got my actual size which was snug at first, but they stretched out. If you want to wear thicker socks with them, size up).

Check out the fitting room snapshots here and latest nSale picks.

What is YOUR favorite item you got from this sale??

The NSale always seems to end up being stressful, lol! I ordered the same brown OTK boots that you did, and an olive green drape front jacket by BlankNYC. Both have been delivered to my house but since we are (still driving across the US) on vacation I've yet to see them. Several things sold out while I was trying to decide if I really wanted/needed them. I also missed out on the suede jacket. Then I realized I almost never buy suede anything because we get rain all winter, no snow. I did manage to go into a store in Massachusetts and try several things on. I left with the plaid flannel shirt and the black top with the pretty lace up detail up the back. There are some cute sleeveless sweaters I'm still contemplating, but it's been *so* hot/humid I can't seem to get interested in buying much for Fall. Which, come Fall, I'll regret, lol!
