Happy Happy Friday!
I wanted to check out a few pieces at Ann Taylor and even though I was not planning on doing fitting room snap-shorts today I just had to share a few of my favorite pieces.
Let me just say that I’m sad that I could not find this first top online. Guessing it’s sold out (it was on the sale rack at the store).
I almost didn’t grab this skirt to try on is as it looked really short. But I’m glad I did. It is SO pretty you guys, this picture does not do it justice. If you’re like me and shorts are not your thing, you’ll love this skirt. Easily dressed up or down. I tried on size 4 so it’s sitting more on the hips making the length more appropriate and not mini.
I’ve been circling around this skirt ever since it came out. Finally decided to try it on but the smallest size available was 4 and it was too big around the waist (even though it doesn’t appear to be the case). It has a good amount of stretch so I could probably even get away with size 0. It’s is supper cute though and thankfully is not short.
It’s a shame that this dress is so short (I’m 5’6. For some this will work fine). Even a slight bend forward and everything in the back is showing. Yikes! I really wish Ann Taylor would start making their dresses a few inches longer.
You might have already seen this dress on my Instagram yesterday (lilly_101). It’s completely adorable. It has pockets. It’s lined. And I’m in love!
Seersucker Flare Dress – size 0
The skirt looks great with the cropped sweater too. I tried on size XS in this sweater, which is on major sale right now. If you want a bit roomier fit, size up. The sweater is on the heavier side but I still can be worn during chilly summer nights I’d say.
I’m in such a need of pencil skirts. Most of my pencil skirts are smallso as much as I’d love to still squeeze in them it just doesn’t look right (which reminds me to tell you that hopefully soon I’ll be posting my pencil skirts for sale and majority are from J.Crew in size 0).
Textured Pencil Skirt – on sale + extra 40% off
Floral Drawstring ankle pants – I was able to fit into size 0 (they didn’t have 2) but they seemed to work.
I’ve finally realized, a while ago, Loft pencil skirts in Curvy style is what works the best for my body type. They fit well and I don’t have to size up (and sizing up in regular makes them too big in the waist and they hang on my hips). If you have similar issues, where the pencil skirts are tight just in the hip/butt area, try the Curvy style.
When I ordered this dress I was hoping it would be a bit longer (it looked longer on the model). I still love it, it’s keeper. It will be my go-to beach dress. It also comes in Navy. Both colors have limited sizes available.
Tassel Trim Off shoulder Dress / Sandals – on sale!
Just an errands look from last weekend. I’m a little sad that these Target espadrilles are not a bit more comfortable for a longer period of times (at least for a few hours of walking). But for the price I really can’t complain.
Tee / Necklace / Chambray Shirt old / Pants old – similar / Bag / Espadrilles – love this style
